The Ci Key: Personal Insights Profiling
CI PROFILING has developed the newest generation of sophisticated interviewing instruments that effectively surface the style and behavioral makeup of individual performers. This insight is at the core of almost all of CI's applications. The process utilizes an open-ended approach, generally over the phone, which eliminates the negative aspects associated with objective-based psychological testing.
The information generated from the in-depth interview has a multitude of applications once completed. On an individual basis, the profile equips the manager with additional information for individualized strategies for motivating, developing and future deployment of the individual. When combined with other profiles, a more complete story develops which can be used as a benchmark, "family portrait", or a gap analysis against the best-in-class and much more.
The Interview
The individual or individuals involved participate in a phone conversation with one of our trained professionals. The conversational nature of our interview is designed to eliminate the apprehension which often accompanies an "evaluation" process. Any anxieties the individual has prior to the conversation are addressed up-front and is often the case, a rapport is quickly established between the CI associate and the individual.
The Analysis
Upon completion of the interview, the information generated is interpreted by another member of the CI team. Final analysis is not completed without discussion between the CI consultant interpreting the results and the interviewer. The CI consultant utilizes the extensive data base of past performers to interpret the results of the profile. Data analysis often involves the input from other members of the organization to help alleviate bias.
Deliverables
The feedback provides to the client company takes many forms. One aspect of the results is interpreted via numeric data. CI PROFILING uses a 1 - 10 rating scale with subcategories of Dominant, Strong, Operational, Limited and Counter. In many cases, a matrix accompanies the numeric data indicating performance ranges for a given position. The client is also provided with a written summary of the data. Perhaps the most valuable feedback tool is the verbal discussion which accompanies all in-depth profiles.
